Nizo S1 Super 8 Camera, Fully Tested, 18/24 FPS

A GREAT LITTLE NIZO S1

The Nizo S1 is one of those cameras that is easy to appreciate once you actually pick it up and use it. Lightweight, compact and extremely comfortable to handle, it is an excellent Super 8 camera for outdoor shooting, travel and everyday filmmaking.

The MonsterFlipsUSA team particularly enjoys this model. In our opinion, the S1 offers a very compelling combination of features for its size, including both automatic and manual exposure and 18/24 fps filming speeds. Compared with popular cameras such as the Canon 310XL and Canon 514XL, these additional controls make the Nizo S1 a particularly interesting option for filmmakers who want more flexibility without moving to a much larger camera.

A GREAT ENTRY INTO SUPER 8 FILMMAKING

The S1 is a fantastic way to get into the rediscovered world of Super 8 film photography and its unmistakable vintage look.

Its compact 800g body, retractable handle and excellent ergonomics make it particularly well suited to handheld and outdoor shooting. The Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon f/1.8 10-30mm zoom lens also gives you a useful range while keeping the camera small and portable.

With 18 and 24 fps, plus automatic and manual exposure control, the S1 gives you the flexibility to experiment with different shooting styles and motion characteristics.

OPTIONAL ORIGINAL NIZO CARRYING BAG

An original Nizo S1 carrying/protective case is available as an optional accessory.

Please understand that these original Nizo bags are approximately 50 years old and are provided exactly as found. MonsterFlipsUSA specializes in camera servicing, not upholstery or bag restoration.

The interior materials of these vintage bags naturally deteriorate over time and may shed small fibers of felt or foam. The exterior may also show additional wear, scuffs and other signs of decades of use and storage.

We offer these vintage bags at a very low additional cost, typically around $20, and sometimes include them free with a camera. They are provided as vintage accessories, not professionally restored carrying cases.

If you are particularly picky about the condition of a carrying bag, a modern replacement bag is recommended. Most original vintage bags will have some condition issues associated with their age.

No returns, exchanges or refunds will be accepted based on the condition of the vintage carrying bag.

PROFESSIONAL MECHANICAL SERVICING

MonsterFlipsUSA specializes in professional mechanical servicing and full functional testing of vintage Super 8 cameras.

The focus is on making sure the camera operates properly. We do not restore or refinish cosmetic aspects such as scuffs, paint wear, loose leather panels, eyepiece wear or other exterior aesthetics.

Some signs of age are completely normal on cameras that are more than 50 years old. Mechanical performance and functionality are what we test and stand behind.

Please review our return policy before purchasing.

STORE-WIDE VINTAGE CAMERA DISCLAIMER

All Super 8 cameras are approximately 50 years old. Please understand that no lens will be perfect. That said, due to the relatively low resolution of the Super 8 format, most minor imperfections will not be visible once the film is developed.

Please also understand that vintage cameras will naturally show signs of age and use. Cosmetic imperfections do not necessarily affect the camera's ability to record film.
