New to Super 8? A word of caution: if you want to gamble with your money at an auction store and end up with a paperweight or a doorstop fine, more power to you. In the other hand, if you are serious about film-making you need a fully functioning camera, perfectly described, and tested 100%, like all of my cameras.
As you probably know, I repair and provide maintenance services for vintage SUPER 8 cameras. So here for sale I have this excellent CANON 814 Auto Zoom with the following qualities:
Motor runs with strong torque. AUTO and MANUAL Zoom in/out works; clean viewfinder, diopter adjusts as intended, Auto and Manual Exposure are responsive.
Overall this camera is in very good shape, no rust, battery compartment is clean.
Great for making a great entrance into the rediscovered world of Super 8 film photography with its amazing vintage look, or for anyone on Film School
Camera body, glass and viewfinder are nice and clean.
Camera comes with its original Canon hard case with cross-body strap.
